Give the Gift of Design!
It’s no secret that times have been tough. Just about all of us are suffering from the economy.
Every so often I am approached by businesses that are just starting out who would really like to enlist my services, but unfortunately cannot afford to hire me. While I’d love to help everyone out, it’s very difficult for me to take on clients for free or even at an extremely reduced rate.
I realize that some of us are not doing all that bad this year and are blessed to have businesses that are flourishing. This gave me an idea. That’s what us entrepreneurs are good at – ideas!
Most of us can understand how hard it was to start up our businesses. In fact the first year that I started my own business back in 2006 I almost gave up and went back to the corporate grind. I was making all of $600 a month, barely making rent and having to borrow money from my family far too often. I managed to stick with it though and eventually took some chances that would eventually seal my path toward reaching my goals.
So keeping in mind what it’s like to be there, think about those who might have helped you out along the way to be able to reach your goals. I doubt any of you got where you are solely on your own. Think about where you might be right now if those people had not helped you out.
My intention with this post is basically to ask for anyone who is doing well and who feels inclined to donate any amount they are comfortable with to help “Give the Gift of Design”.
Your monetary gift will go towards helping me to provide design services to start-up businesses or those who are struggling considerably. I have some clients that need additional services that are imperative to their success.
You have full control over where your donation is applied, if that is your request. You can specify that your donation apply to a start-up or that it go to assist a current client of mine with attaining additional needed services. I also will occasionally work with non-profit businesses, so you may specify if you prefer your donation go towards a non-profit also.
Want to be assured that your donation is actually going to a client in need? I will personally put you in touch with the client whom your donation will benefit and you will be sent updates on the progress if you wish to remain involved.
The only thing that I ask of my recipient clients is that they return the favor once they are doing well themselves to someone else in need.
Again, you have the option of donating any amount you are comfortable with. It’s especially helpful however, if you can donate at least $150 or more. The more you are able to donate the more I can provide to a client in need.
If you have any questions at all about my “Give the Gift of Design” program, please feel free to contact me.
Thank You!
