Working With Me
I love working with clients to figure out the essence of their business and then developing brand strategies and design that effectively communicate that messaging. It feels almost like translation for me … taking what a business stands for and translating it visually. I enjoy the puzzle aspect of it all and making sure the various pieces fit together, work seamlessly, and deliver effectively.
The perfect client for me is passionate about what she does, contributing in a positive way and doing it in a responsible manner. It wouldn’t hurt if she also likes dogs.
I strive for and honor respect, kindness, authenticity, honesty, and humor. I view the design process as an easy exchange of ideas and desires, a co-creation to a result that will both please and serve you well.
On the Personal Side
I believe in kindness and honesty and being true to oneself. I love deeply, miss my mom like crazy, and travel the path of least resistance whenever I remember to see it. Nature is my touchstone and animals feed my soul. I (and both my dogs) adore the beach! I love to color; the local restaurant, Nosh, is my home away from home; music keeps me grounded and connected. My daughter, flowers, photography, and cheese are also at the top of my favorite-things-in-life list. My favorite color varies from day to day, jewelry is my biggest (but far from my only) weakness, and I’m a Taurus through and through (my mom used to say if you looked up the word taurus in the dictionary, you’d find my picture).
I quit my corporate job, put my house up for sale and filed for divorce — all in the same week. 25 years later I live on the Central Oregon Coast with my two Australian Shepherds and two cats (plus countless deer and woodland critters), surrounded by towering pines, solid friendships and the Pacific Ocean ten minutes away. There’s a sign outside my front door that says, “My Happy Place” and I feel incredibly blessed to live and work in a place most people only come to for vacation.
When I’m not in the office, you might find me out working around my property (my one-acre wood), taking a nap with the cats, coloring, or exploring the gorgeous state of Oregon, dogs in tow and camera in hand.
